We spend a lot of our time hyperconnected online but are we losing the thinking habits and skills that are vital for work and life? How can we navigate and utilise being connected and what AI has to offer AND maintain and strengthen our essentially-human thinking skills?
Although we potentially have so much rich data, information and knowledge at our fingertips, we often choose a fast-facts diet for immediate consumption, and happily get lost scrolling in our online echo-chambers, comfortable where everyone seems to agree with us or at least get angry about the same things. This diet can result in us becoming unfocused, biased, impulsive, predictable and less curious in our lives.
Our introductory course, Essentially human – thinking skills for work and life, will support you to recognise, strengthen, stretch and apply the thinking habits, skills and strategies needed to thrive in our busy worlds – to structure and frame what you know and drive what you do.
Our initial, research-informed, e-learning course focuses on:
- building self-awareness and reflection
- increasing curiosity and creativity
- collaborating and compassion
- being action-oriented
This course will help you to:
- understand your thinking
- see the bigger picture and focus on detail
- be creative and motivated
- collaborate
- create value for yourself and others
- challenge and evaluate
- prioritise and plan
- make better decisions
- put ideas into action
